Overview
More
Damiani Wine Cellars celebrates the unique microclimate and dramatic landscape that is New York's Finger Lakes. We cultivate several vineyards nestled along the eastern shores of Seneca Lake where we purposefully limit the amount of fruit per vine to achieve concentrated flavors, and work with other premier growers in the area to source the finest grapes each vintage. The results are wines yielding extraordinary complexity and finesse, wines showing distinct character and expression of the land.

Damiani specializes in dry reds, a rarity in the Finger Lakes. I did the wine and chocolate tasting, totally worth the extra money. Chocolates are locally made. I love how wine changes the way food tastes and vice versa. I'm not usually a dry red...More

Hi Amy, Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed your visit with us! If you're ever in the area on a Saturday try to stop in. Our chocolatier Christian is here almost every Saturday with samples of all 12 of his different chocolates. Thanks again! Hope...More

The winery itself isn't associated with the 'official' wine trail, so it's nice in the sense that they avoid as much of a crowd as other places might - they rely more on recommendations/word of mouth. It seemed to keep the bachelorette party crowd at...More

Have always enjoyed visiting Damiani as they do have some very tasty wines. Unfortunately had a bad experience- arrived at the winery at 4:50 pm on a Saturday and was turned away for a tasting as they closed at 5pm. Have never had that happen...More

If you enjoy reds, this is a must stop in the Finger Lakes! Michael was very interesting and helpful. We never felt rushed or ignored, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was the last stop on our Finger Lake trip, and I can honestly say,...More

This was an awesome way to start a wine trail...love dry reds and great customer service! Visited several wineries and this was with the exception of one other very knowledgeable and accommodating!

They have great wines. They also are affiliated with an amazing line of chocolates, which you can try if you do the wine/chocolate pairing. I've always had friendly service there, and I always buy something after tasting.

We have been vacationing in the Finger Lakes for about 10 years. When we first started vacationing there, friends who know wines recommended that we avoid the reds. Now there are Finger Lakes reds that are getting good reviews from major wine mags. Damiani has...More

A good tasting experience—service good, took a bit for them to warm up but we are a fun crew and all was well...the Bollicine sparkling (a prosecco basically) was delish, but wasn’t sold on the reds in general (which were a highlight according to our...More

Next on our list of must stop wineries (from John at Wagner Vineyards) was Damiani Wine Cellars. John told us to ask for Michael and we were very happy that he was available. We decided to stay with the reds, which we heard were excellent,...More

Rarely, if ever, do I write negative reviews. I prefer to write positive reviews for good experiences. However, the service given on Saturday moves me to write this review. My sister and I went to taste wine at Damiani on Saturday. I was excited to...More
