Canandaigua Lake Brewery Tour

Your five-hour tour of three or four breweries will include scenic views of Canandaigua and Honeoye Falls. A Crush Host tour guide will lead you through your tour while highlighting some of the rich history of why the Finger Lakes is a perfect place to grow hops and generate great growlers of beer. Visited breweries vary based on days and times tasting rooms are available.  The full day tour is eight hours and will include four breweries and a delicious pub style dinner.

Lovely place with interesting history and variety of gardens. We visited in the Fall, so we missed a lot of the flowers in bloom, but we enjoyed our visit very much. Street signage to find the entrance could be better.

Maybe we spent more time in the gardens because we felt safer during these Covid 19 times; we went to places in the gardens we'd never visited before. The 2nd floor of the mansion was closed off so this may have also pushed us outdoors. The docent was very welcoming & provided us w/ an expert background to the Thompson family. In spite of the challenges of maintaining the gardens during a drought & restricted Covid protocols, we still found nature's bounty a refreshing & rejuvenating experience at Sonnenberg.

Thanks so very much for your comments about the property and our amazing docents. This year has been especially hard on so many people and we are just so grateful we were able to offer you a respite from the worries of the outside world while you were visiting us.

This is a beautiful historic site. COVID restrictions did limit fuller enjoyment of the mansion, and we were too late in the year to enjoy some of the flowers. With a significant financial windfall, Sonnenberg could be restored to its original glory, but it would take a major contribution. With limited resources, they are working hard to maintain the property.
