This wine trail is a fairly late entry in the extensive wine tourism industry in western New York. I visited a few of the wineries on this trail and was not impressed. However, seeing as the other wine trails in the area have changed over...More

The Finger Lake region is known for its white/ice wines, but if you're a red wine drinker looking for the best stops, be sure to explore the Canandaigua Wine Trail. Notable stops for us were Heron Hill, Inspire Moore, and Red Cat.

Thank you for your great review. While the region is known for its white and ice wines, our wineries are working hard to produce great red wines as well. We're excited to share them with other fans of red wine and glad you enjoyed!

Beautiful, varying countryside and fall colors! Peak colors estimated mid-Oct. here in 2016. Lots of exploring to do from low country north end of the lake to the highlands adjacent Canandaigua Lake south end. Very attractive vineyards and pleasant experiences wine tasting!

Many wine tourists overlook Canandaigua Lake, which is a mistake. In late August my husband and I visited Hazlett Red Cat, Arbor Hill (many wonderful wine based products), Inspire Moore - all together, worth the trip. Sampled several interesting varietals not readily available elsewhere on...More

Hello! We are so excited you will be visiting the Finger Lakes area. Are you referring to our Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail passport? If so, that can be purchased at any of our wineries on the trail!
