On our way to Nova Scotia last Fall, we drove through Cape Vincent and spent some time looking around. Evidently the town holds a French festival every July. The area was settled by French and it was a strategic spot during both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. The houses definitely have a European look to them and... More

What an amazing place. Quiet, refreshing. Only open for visitors for a few months a year. A breath taking view.

Took the drive to Tibbets Point from Watertown where we were staying over for the night. What a gorgeous view, the sunset was amazing. Although the visitors center was closed still well worth the time. We did see a large freighter in the distance, would have been nice to see close up

This peaceful point has a nice lighthouse & good water views. The lighthouse & caretaker house are both in fair condition. It was a nice find but I would not go far out of my way to search for it.

We enjoy the great views of the lighthouse. Sunset is probably the best time to visit. It is just beautiful. You can also stay here at the hostel. The new attendant is great and very nice.

Honestly, part of the enjoyment of going to Tibbetts Point is seeing the nice homes on the drive there. The spot where the lighthouse is located is cool to see, at the confluence of the St Lawrence River and Lake Ontario. We saw a huge freighter going by. For a quarter, you can use the telescope and check out some... More

Having been to over 160+ light houses in person, this one we visited a couple of years ago from land, it was great to finally see it from the water this past weekend!

This is a great place to view the sunset. It is a nice walk from Cape Vincent. You can also see all the windmills on Wolfe Island.
