My husband and I visited the Chautauqua Institution the second week in June in the middle of the afternoon. Although this time was a week before the opening of the summer season, it was nice that we were able to drive in and explore without...More

Good facility for a workout, a lot of equipment, friendly helpful staff, nice pool. Weekday hours are good, weekend hours are poor. Classes are expensive, as is membership. If using shower wear sandals ... Don't know if they ever clean this area. Thick soap scrum...More

Something for everyone! Programming is top notch! Beats any resort on intellectualism and entertainment. Great variety of activities and events.

Went to the Institution in August. Found parking across from entrance way. Before parking, we stopped to get some advice from two people who worked there. Both were very helpful! We arrived at 4 and the weather was exceptional. Low humidity, temperature in the 70's,...More

We have visited Chautauqua for long weekends on several occasions in the past, but this year was the first that we spent an entire week on the Grounds. We rented a small, dark apartment near the center of the Institution. There are many real estate...More
