Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Whiterock Beach Hotel is one of the best places to relax with family. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. Both during the day and at night, the resort has a wonderfully pleasant atmosphere. Because they have a Naya Bar, they offer both nightlife and midday activities. Their numerous swimming pools and water sports activities kept us from getting bored, and we really loved their inflatable waterpark. I'll definitely be back soon!

The staff at this resort is the glue that keeps this place going and maintained. They work hard to provide great service. The resort is showing its age and could really use a complete overhaul. We booked the Beachside Bungalow for 3 nights. The room was clean, beds were okay, wi-fi was good and it had a patio area with lounge chairs. Disappointed to get a bathroom that had rust in the shower, the faucet, toilet paper cover and near the bath tub. This was definitely a turn off and had to use slipper to use the shower. Really do not understand why they are able to maintain the exterior property but cannot invest money in updating their bathroom facilities. We did express our bathroom situation but it was not resolved or offered anything better. Found out there were other resorts that had great facilities for the price we paid. Explored the whole property and could only enjoy their pools. Beach is limited and not white. They have paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis and many more for additional fees. A resort only meant for families. They have so many rules. Breakfast was complimentary but it always seemed they ran out of food and it was nothing special. The place was safe and secured.

Worst overpriced resort with very bad service. They made us move from our suite to the most basic room and charged us full price for the suite. Activities are not available as advertised but still charged full price. DTI and DOT should look into these bad practices, such an embarassment to the tourism industry.

The rate of the rooms are ridiculously expensive and it's not even a 5star hotel. Not worth it to stay in this hotel. Their room rates are only for 2 people, then additional charges for guests even for kids ages 7 years old and above are considered adult. They are advertising that their rooms can have 4 occupants. However, their room rates are only for 2 adults. Stayed for 1 night and we ended up paying 20k for 4 adults and 3kids. The rooms are not good, there were cockroaches in the room. Pools are not clean. I'm very disappointed with the beach as well. The only thing I like were the staff in the beach, very helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed staying here. Here are the reasons why:
1. Lot's of pools and slides
2. Beach activities
3. Food is great (They even gave us a free fruit platter)
4. Staffs are friendly, great customer service - they will anticipate your needs (if we need extra chairs, extra table, slippers, need the whirlpool to run and etc), will make suggestions (I was craving for coffee but since I am pregnant - I am avoiding caffeine. One of their staffs suggested an alternative), very polite (everyone will greet you and they all wear a smile).
5. Clean rooms and facilities

This original hotel has a place in history as a previous R & R location for previous American Forces Personnel to have a break away from the previously near base. It has been renovated considerably and been made into a very family friendly and orientated place. Incidentally they even allow dogs with some restrictions! My visit was still very much the off-peak and nevertheless it was quite full. I am advised during peak times the resort is bursting with the arrival of day trippers. There are a variety of pools and slides and the like many of which during my stay were being serviced or cleaned. Some water facilities like jet-skis were available several were not. The room we had was a villa set near the sea and infinity pool and two Jacuzzi's It even had its own private Jacuzzi as well as separate shower and toilet. Effective air-conditioning, lighting adequate and good TV and excellent WiFi. Now the outdoor Jacuzzi was great, really relaxing BUT there were no handrails. This is a serious lacking and I felt it was impossible to really get in and out safely. I fell on the way out, in spite of being helped. It would not take much to make this safe and in the bedrooms which have two levels and a small step they have put a solid rail to ensure no one falls down unknowingly at night. They put a high concentration of Ammonia in all the water ( for antiseptic purposes) and you have to limit time in the warm water. Skin starts to wrinkle and guys you have to take care of your nipples! ( now that is not something you read in Trip Advisor that often!). The Ammonia does make them a little sore and if you scratch them removing a layer of skin they are a little sore for a day or so. Of course ladies always cover up these sensitive parts and do not suffer to the same extent! In spite of all the downsides there was something magic relaxing in a warm Jacuzzi watching the tropical sun sink into the nearby Ocean on a perfect evening. The staff were exceptional helpful and friendly all with genuine smiles. The food was fresh and very local. Breakfast buffet had a sign up threatening a fee for leaving a lot of food and I am glad to see this to remind people not to waste food after all you can go back and forth to get refills as many times as you want. They also did great with the buffet. Lots a tasty dishes and who would have imagined saute cabbage really tastes great as a side dish with breakfast. Well it does and it did. Try the congee correctly served plain allowing you to add the various garnishes and ingredients to taste. A nice visit and a refreshing change. Take care always with safety and i hope the resort can tighten up on this. Go off-peak if you can the place would really crowd out when full.

I've been several times already for daytrip , the place is nice and wide, but now it had become totally overpriced, lost sight of the quality to deliver for the money. It's a pity, 3000 php for entrance free (one adult and one kid 8 years old, that they consider adult), plus another 1500php for lunch. For 6000 I can easily stay overnight in Shangri-la,and it's in no way in the same class.
Hope management will reduce the price to align with quality.

This resort is over priced and not worth the place. They beat the price of Henan boracay which is in excellent resort. Not recommended.

We had our Company outing here and the place is great. They offer Teambuilding activities and we had a blast! The accredited company that facilitated it was very professional and very engaging. Our employees really enjoyed the games and had so much learnings. The place is huge and the staff were all friendly. One of our employees had an accident on their slippery floor at the pavilion near the pool. She had minor injury on the head but the lifeguard immediately gave assistance and called the nurse on duty. Ms. CJ the nurse was so calm and helpful. Our employee was sent to the nearest hospital and White Rock management shouldered all the bills. The White Rock management immediately took some actions. We saw some anti-skid mats installed on top of the slippery floorings. Ms Fe from the reception area was very accommodating esp Ms. Zsa Zsa who also gave assistance and help. Also The lifeguards on the Inflatable island were so helpful. Overall our company enjoyed every minute of our stay in White Rock. We had an Amazing experience!

Banana boat 300 pesos each .UFO 300 pesos each . And jet skis 3500pesos for 1 hour . Lots of swimming pools for kids and adults . Two wave pools .. there’s also zip lining and inflatables water park . Rooms are decent ..nothing fancy but clean. Staff very accommodating.
