I took my bike on a trip to Cooperstown and rode it approximately 30 miles around the lake. Nice ride though there aren't a lot of lake views but a worthwhile trip.

I have lived in Cooperstown almost all of my life. I currently live right next to the lake. I love all the moods and scenes of the lake. The lake is not overly used. The busiest night of the year is the night of the fireworks! Mostly the lake is my spot of serenity!

While visiting the Cooper Museum, we sat on a bench beside the lake and it was so serene. It was truly breathtaking and relaxing. The view all around is unbelievable, especially with the leaves turning color. Post card perfect.

This is one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever seen. The color is breathtaking. Because I was there in the fall, the leaves looked like a tapestry.

Viewed via Glimmerglass Queen Cruise. Their are 3 beaches and places to rent boats and kayaks for pleasure and fishing.

We enjoyed our short visit to,this scenic lake. The leaves are just starting to change, creating a ring of color all the way around the lake. On a weekday morning it is quiet and peaceful here and the locals come just to chat or have lunch.

I have been using this lake for more than 25 years and it is not easy to find access for a fishing boat. There is a bit of a scary ramp right at the end of Fair Street by the Lakefront Hotel. By scary I mean it drops off quickly in depth. There is another access site just behind the... More

We enjoyed a cruise on the lake. What a beautiful lake. Apparently most of it is privately owned so there are many green areas on the lake and not so many houses and cottages. The tour we took was lovely although I would have wanted a bit more narrative than what was offered. In any event, it was an enjoyable... More

This is a very special lake. For starters, it has a castle, which you do not always find. There are three public swimming sites, Fairy Springs, Three Mile Point and Glimmerglass state park, the last being the largest. If you are there when there is not a lot of motorboat traffic it is very peaceful.

The glimmer glass boat ride was an amazing surprise to our Cooperstown visit. It was a beautiful day and the water, always, was clean and sparkling. We were hopeful there would be enough people to take the ride as they must have at least 12 passengers to depart. Luckily there was just the right amount and we left the dock... More
