A "must see and do" shopping and dining experience.

The Gaffer District is a great small town to visit year-round. There is so much to see and do, including the Corning Museum of Glass, the Rockwell Museum and various art galleries.

This is the downtown area of Corning, with all the shops and restaurants. It's several blocks long and a great place to dine and shop. A must-do in Corning.

Worth a walk down Market Street to enjoy the small shops. Note that many shops close at 5 or 6pm. Restaurants open until 8 or even 9pm.

Not sure what significance Gaffer has for this part of town, and there wasn't much information, but basically it is a street with stores and pizza shops.

We walked across the pedestrian bridge from the Corning Museum to the Gaffer District. It was a bit like a main street with many stores and restaurants. We took a nice walk down the 3-4 blocks and went into one of the antique malls. There is lots of browsing to be had with your choice of foods.

Basically a long street with places to eat. Very few art related shops. Strange to find one shop half filled with puzzles?!?! While it was a nice place to take a walk, it didnt provide enough places to stop in and browse. Not worth the effort to drive over here after seeing Corning Museum.

What a great place. Quite a long street with many different shops, businesses, eating places and even a movie theatre. Looked fantastic with the trees that line the street turning yellow and losing their leaves. Well worth a visit.

Shopping area for the art admiring individuals. Also, a lot of places to eat. 2 hour on street parking was plenty.
