Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great fun on Lake George. Pontoon fits a family of 12, and provides a fun-filled time on the Lake. We found locations for swimming, diving, and towing floats that we haven't previously enjoyed.

Pontoon boats can accomodate small groups of people (eight of us went out, with room to spare). You can rent for one hour or several. Since you're the driver, you decide your route. Wear sunscreen! There's a covered portion of the boat, but most seats will be out in the open. The boat rides nicely, and the bench seats are comfortable enough. This is a relaxing, fun way to experience the lake. Our family's done this a couple of times now, and this will remain a favorite activity whenever we're in the area.

We contacted Lake George Island Adventures about a half day lake tour. Captain Justin was able to accommodate us that day and we met him at the dock at noon. We went out for a relaxing tour of the lake. Since it was just two couples, with no kids with us, we didn't want to do the usual tour that Justin provides. He knew just what to do taking us in and out of the small islands, bays and more than half way up the lake providing informative narration along the way. His humor only added to a pleasant afternoon. We had a great time and the 4 hours flew by. I would definitely recommend taking a pontoon tour with Justin.

After reading reviews on Trip Advisor, my husband and I decided to take a pontoon boat tour with Dave and so glad we did. It gives you such a different perspective on the lake. The tour can be anything you want it to be (which is really nice) and wanted something relaxing. We cruised around the islands and coves, had lunch and swam in the lake. We stopped at a little store on one of the islands to get ice cream. Dave is super accommodating and I highly recommend booking with him. His phone number is 518-248-5776, to make it easy for you. He or his wife, Diane will be glad to help you. They give a discount if you pay cash too! We just enjoyed ourselves so much!

10 of us booked a pontoon for 210 $ for an hour which was fair enough since our group was mainly family with kids and we had overcast weather. But the trip was awesome to see the least. This is a better of viewing the lake than that of steamboat or any other river cruise. I wheeled the boat myself and was not a problem. The guide was quite descriptive to set me up. Definitely, will return .

We had a wonderful time out with our guide Dave, who is the owner/operator of this company. Dave was very informative and friendly. We had a great time with a group of 9 people on the boat, 3 adults and 6 kids, ages 4-14.
Dave knew just were to go and what to do. We were not rushed at all and got a locals view of Lake George. Check out their website. Great details on pricing,
We loved it so much we went out twice in one week. Brand new boat always operated my it's owner! provides cooler with ice. We brought the drinks, snack towels, and sunscreen.

We have taken a personal pontoon boat tour of Lake George with Mike and Christine. It was an amazing trip half way into the lake (3 hours.) It is really a different experience that allows you to enjoy Lake George almost one on one. You will see some very pretty architecture but most importantly you can be taken deep into the lake to discover hidden bays and islands. You can also take a hike to the waterfall and have a picnic.
Mike and Christine are very knowledgeable about the area so you will learn a lot in a fun, relaxed way!

Chair users rejoice! Here is another bit of exceptional vacation experience. Pontoon Tours with Mike and Christine was a pleasant change from the standard tourism norm. My Ibot and I were easily accommodated aboard and I was also able to get ashore on an island to use facilities there. We spent about six hours touring, swimming and picknicking. A great way to spend a summer day.

This 4 hour tour was awesome. Because weather had been iffy all day long, there was literally nobody on the lake. Weather turned as soon as Mike picked us up, at 4:30. Lake was empty and like glass. Its 32 miles long, and surrounded by huge areas of protected wilderness. MIke gave us a guided shoreline tour of the impressive houses and hotels and knew alot about the area's history. We BBQ'd at a campsite on a wooded island in middle of lake with awesome views. Our expectations were wildly exceeded. We also did a 10 minute hike to an incredible hidden waterfall.
My friends and I were in Lake George for our annual motorcycle trip to Americade. After all these years, we had never been on the lake before, but now we know what we've been missing. We plan to make this boat tour into an annual event, and will be prepared for more hiking next time because the surrounding woods are absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. Mike is a total naturalist and knows a lot about the area. We intend to take advantage of that more when we do this tour again in the future.
I would highly recommend this tour.

This boat tour of Lake George was the highlight of our vacation. Christine was an excellent guide as she gave us our tour. We hiked to a waterfall (our 12 year old son loves waterfalls). Our son swam in the clear water. We had a picnic lunch on one of the many islands in the lake. We just had a great time. This was the best way for us to experience a beautiful lake!
