While parts were closed due to high waters, we found only camping sites to visit. We paid $5.00 per person to drive in and out in about 30 minutes. Left there and drove to the Eisenhower Dam, which was more interesting but smelly.

We ate at the Palm - another fine dining restaurant at the Carltun in Eisenhower Park. We highly recommend the experience. The space is beautiful and the food the scrumptious. A dining pleasure!

This is the greatest park on Long Island. Larger than Central Park! Playgrounds, picnic areas, baseball fields, golf, etc. As long as the weather is nice, there is always something to do here.

I suggest you telephone the park office. I was just a visitor to the park. I have no idea of what fish are in the pond or if fishing is even permissible.
