This was out first visit to Manitoga and our only regret is that we didn't come here sooner! The guided tour has gorgeous rustic scenery, gentle sloping walkways, a canopy of trees that immerse you in the environment, waterfalls, rock formations and the grand finale...More

The experience at Manitoga is interesting, enlivening, and well worth the cost of the tour. The tour begins with a brief video about Russel Wright, which was useful and interesting. The guided tour takes you through the property (the central piece of it, at least,...More

Wasn't sure what to expect, since not very familiar with Russel Wright, but the art studio and home, along with the surrounding landscape, was incredible. The blending of man-made structures and nature reminded me of Frank Lloyd Wright, but this is the only home Russel...More

This has instantly become one of my very favorite house museums (which is say a lot because I've toured 100s of them). The comparison to Fallingwater is obvious, with the attention to working with the natural surrounding (though as it turns out Wright worked the...More

We loved touring the property. The history was very interesting and the grounds are beautiful. Wear comfortable shoes as there is walking/hiking on uneven ground.

A great little wooded getaway not extremely worn out or overly difficult. 3 loops on this property offer a wooded scene with a stream, rock outcroppings and a feel for the Hudson Valley region. Very well marked. We did tour the house and gardens...next time.

The tour of the home and grounds exceeded my expectations. Dan Rigbey, Outreach / Visitor Experience Coordinator was excellent, both in terms of his knowledge of the history of the home and design of the property, and his attentiveness to visitors.
