This is a piece of Glens Falls history which most people simply drive by every day and pay no notice too. This Victorian-era house sits unassumingly on the corner, surrounded by trees. In years past, the main portion of the museum was the house which...More

This is a much improved local museum that has two really good things going for it. They have a permanent exhibit that generally covers standard local history ( prominent local persons, places and events) and then from time to time changing exhibits of local interest....More

My last visit to this museum was two decades ago. What was once a small local history museum has evolved into an accessible treasury of information about Glens Falls, Queensbury and the southern part of the Adirondacks. About half of Stoddard's turn-of-the-century albumin prints of...More

Local history buffs might enjoy this attraction about the history of Glen Falls. Nice photographic history of downtown urban renewal project. As a visitor to town I was underwhelmed.

What a wonderful way to learn the history of our area! There is so much more to our little community than people know-industry, community, politics, Adirondacks.

Growing up in Queensbury, I took many school trips to the Chapman Museum, but I hadn't visited in many years. Much of the museum is a house museum, containing artifacts from relevant time periods used in the area. Additions to the house contain additional artifacts...More
