Only nipped in for a lunchtime pint whilst working in Ashford town. Found the beer to be very cheap compared to what I'm used to. Never had a bad pint. The 'locals are quite happy to have a conversation with you (got good directions to a paint wholesaler in an emergency). Very trustable as I left one 'In the bin... More

Decided to have a mid afternoon meeting here and to be fair it's a nice enough place, could do with a splash of paint and more attentive bar staff but overall a nice place where you can feel at ease, has a good crowd of tradesman from around 4 however there's still a relaxed atmosphere..not enough of these kind of pubs left... Thought wed try somewhere different for lunch, although we'd visited before when I wasn't impressed but I though `give it another chance'. Well I'm pleased to say the service and food have improved since our last visit, although we only had light meals as it was midday we enjoyed them and all agreed to return.

Three of us have been going here several years for lunch & it was always packed but the last few months we have been sadly disappointed. The chips soggy, the pastry soggy (filling good though), portion size have been reduced. The soup isn't like it use to be, the chicken over cooked, the coffee is undrinkable, have complained for the... More

This pub serves a very good selection of beers and has a free carpark. 290 bus stop is very close by. Staff are friendly. I didn't eat here however many others were and the menu did look value for money. Toilets were clean.

We booked the Kings Head on boxing day as a group of 15 people. The staff were attentive and pleasant. The food was great. It was excellent value for the price.

I'd give 1 or 0 stars if there is an issue with hygiene, but this one seems hygienic (i hope!), anyway the foods are much below expectation. we had a sharing nachos, which majority was crumbs! soup was cold like from a tin, burger meat wasnt right (not fresh), mixed grills were horrible! dont touch the sausage! staff are ok,...
