Wonderful winery with friendly, helpful staff. I visited on the day after Thanksgiving. Tastings are done in the new tasting room. Staff are very knowledgeable and happy to suggest, explain, and serve wines. Many choices to select from. Sweets, dries, sparklings. Always a winner in my mind.

If you understand viticulture at all, you can appreciate what Frank has been doing for over 40 years. The wines were spectacular and the service and hospitality were also great. Thumbs Way Up!

He was born in Odessa, Ukraine. He came to the United States in 1951. Speaking nine languages, English not being one of them, Konstantin was forced to take a job as a dishwasher in New York City. When he could save up enough, Konstantin moved with his family to the Cornell University Geneva Experiment Station in 1953. During the 1950s,... More

We waited considerably longer here for a tasting than other wineries, but it's worth the wait. As many others have written, this is a destination winery, so it would be a mistake to be in the area and not come here. Dr. Frank's features high quality wines, personal service and no tasting fee. So buying a bottle here, after you... More

When we arrived, the first thing that struck us was the lovely view. The tasting offered was pretty good, and we left with one or two bottles. I'm not sure I would come back though - there are many excellent wineries in the area. It's hard to compete.

This place provides an awesome wine-tasting experience! The tastings are free, and the whole tasting experience is very intimate. Our hostess, Jan, provided very detailed descriptions of the wines and offered generous tastings. I haven't been to Napa Valley, but I feel like it would be very similar to what you would experience at Dr. Frank's!

We decided to take advantage of a sunny Veteran’s Day to check out the local wineries and stopped in at Doctor Konstantin Frank's...so glad we did. The woman who hosted our tasting was from Yorkshire (unfortunately we forgot her name, it is rough getting old!!) and she was fabulous!! She was warm, friendly and made the tasting process so much... The entire experience was even more wonderful than I had imagined. The wines were so delicious and the food pairings were spot on. Allen was an incredible educator and guide. The presentation of the food was elegant! I learned so much about the champagne making process. I also learned about the vineyards and how much work it takes to maintain... More

We visited this winery for the second time this past September and were once again impressed! I love dry reislings and I now believe their's is my favorite. We were there on a weekday and the tasting was FREE which is a nice bonus. Most wineries on the finger lakes charge for tastings. The gentleman who ran the tasting was... More

This was our first stop in Hammondsport and we were impressed! The wine was fantastic and the girl who did our tasting was very knowledgeable! We definitely learned a lot on our stop here and look forward to returning!
