The Finger Lakes region is dotted with wineries, vineyards, breweries, and small towns. It is a stunningly pretty and fun place. Dr. Franks leads the pack. One of the few wineries that offers vitis vinifera wines. All of which are able to stand up to...More

This winery is one of the few that gives free tastings. They believe that you will love the wine and buy it. We didn’t. The gal doing the tastings was outstanding. She was very outgoing and friendly. Each tasting was very clearly described and three...More

Unlike many wineries in the Finger Lakes, Dr. Frank's tasting is complimentary. They are able to do that because their wines are top notch and they are pretty confident that no one leaves with out buying SOMETHING! Their portfolio is extensive, with many good reds...More

Jen provided us a wonderful and educational wine tasting as we looked out over the beautiful Keuka Lake. The 2015 Chardonnay was excellent and is reasonably priced. The fully oaked estate Chardonnay was outstanding, but had a price tag that was a little over double....More

The place has wonderful views of the Lake. They control the flow of people into the tasting room ... so no crowds or jockeying for space at the tasting bars. The tastings are gratis and the servers pleasant. The Rieslings were exceptional. The sweet wines...More

Drove to Dr. Frank's because of their exceptional wines, but our hostess was so knowledgeable my wife wants to take courses. Dr. F was the man who gave the local wineries their firm foundation. The selection was fantastic

This five-star winery is off the RT 54A roadway, north of Hammondsport. This is a must see destination when in Hammondsport NY. This is the only winery with free tastings, and they offered plenty of wines to taste. You can focus on either drys or...More

Doc Frank's was the BEST winery we visited on our wine tour of Seneca and Keuka Lakes. And it was the ONLY vineyard which did not charge for a tasting. The tasting choices were quite generous and we felt our server was the most knowledgeable...More

Yes but don’t Allie inside the winery unless guide dogs. They have outside seating and will serve you there, if a weekend should do in advance call and arrange. During the week will make it work.

The folks at the tasting gave us the names of two local restaurants which were excellent for dinner or lunch. Ask the vineyard folks because I can't remember the names.....
