Nice small park that provides some insight into the positioning of troops during the actual Battle of Bennington. There are helpful descriptive signs and a staffer was present to handle any questions. The park is a short distance west of Bennington but not well sign-posted...More

My friend and I actually stopped here by accident as we were looking to find the Bennington Battle Monument and it was on our way as we traveled to our VT hotels from Saratoga. There's a great little brass topographic map that helps understand the...More

If you're in the area and are interested in history, definitely stop by. You'll need no more than 20 minutes to see the battle area and read the markers/descriptions and see the few small monuments. There are bathrooms and a picnic area as well with...More

It is not a large area, however they do have several memorials to troops who fought at the site. Beautiful views from the top of the battlefield, and a nice bronze plaque that shows where the troops were during the battle.

This is a low key state park. My husband is a Revolutionary War buff and this was a must see on his list of things to do in the area. There is a short 20 minute film which I recommend you see before doing the...More

There's not a whole lot to see here, but it's a nice park with some interesting interpretive displays that describe the Bennington Battle. There are also some walking trails through fields and woods in the back part of the park, and places to picnic.
