They can contact me on phone or true e-mail before they arrive or visit my office in Kotu Kraft market and planing their own trip together with me. It can be on the countryside or in town The costumers wish will make the trip.

We chose Lams Tours for a trip inland to Janjanbureh (also known as Georgetown). It’s a two day trip with an overnight stay at a riverside ‘camp’ with traditional African roundhouses. Lams was busy with another trip so we went with Smiler and Blacker, two absolutely sound lads that were great guides.
An overview of the trip: We set off early from our hotel and started the six hour drive. The minibus was comfortable and cold water was provided. You see so much more of the real Gambia when you’re driving through towns, villages and countryside. It’s an amazing place. On our way we stopped off at a busy market in Farafenni, which was cool. Then we crossed the rather large Senegambia Bridge and made our way to Wassu to see the stone circles. We met a local guide here who showed us around and explained the history.
Then a short drive to the riverside to board a boat, heading into the River Gambia National Park. This was a really nice way to spend a couple of hours, searching for hippos and chimpanzees and learning all about the conservation of the area. We then had some time to chill before heading to the roundhouses for the night.
The camp was a great experience, watching the monkeys play as the sunset over the river. We had some food and a few drinks then hit the sack. The morning came quickly as the call to prayer floated out from the mosques over the river, and were soon up and having breakfast.
Day 2 began with a ferry over the river and a visit to the slave house and the other remaining colonial buildings. Very interesting and well presented information. On the drive back we stopped and bought some very hot chilis from the market and our mate up front made us tuna and chilli sandwich, which was good fun. The rest of the drive was spent relaxing and taking it all in, that was until we spotted the Aston Villa wall from the Gambian Young Football Academy. Being a Villa fan I had stop and get a picture!
I rate this trip highly, and I was very impressed with Smiler and Blacker too. We did get to meet Lams as he did our airport taxis, he’s a very bright man with some exciting plans for future trips. I can recommend Lams Tours anytime.

My wife and I along with our kids (age 9 & 6 yrs) had a marvellous day long adventure with Lams and his apprentice guide, Batch.
I set up the day by sending Lams a WhatsApp and he responded immediately. I requested a van that had working seat belts (not the norm in The Gambia). He switched to WhatsApp video and gave me a tour of the van(!). He suggested a better day trip than what I had previously been considering.
On the day he was there promptly outside our accommodation at 9am and we set off. The kids loved the boat trip, and walking in a forest with a troop of baboons. My son got to try to scale a palm tree. The tour finished with a nice lunch (local cuisine) and some drumming.
We tried another tour company earlier in the week which was underwhelming. I am glad we switched to using Lams. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

Lams and the team are fantastic.!!! This was our second visit to Gambia and having booked a few tours with Lams previously (5years ago) I reached out and made contact again prior to our visit for an over night trip down to Guinea Bissau and South Senegal. Lams was quick and Efficient in his responses and arranged to meet is in our hotel reception the day after our arrival in Gambia to discuss the final details for the trip. A couple of days later we headed off with Lams and his colleague Bakary on our adventure to Guinea Bissau.
Despite the early start of 6:30 Lams greeted us with a big smile and soon had us all laughing as we headed south to the border with Senegal where he assisted us in exchanging some money into francs, the required currency for the neighbouring countries. Shortly after crossing the border we stopped for a lovely breakfast and coffee before visiting the Guinea Bissau embassy to obtain our visas which Lams helped process quickly. Next stop Guinea Bissau, where we changed vehicles to drive along some incredibly dusty and bumpy roads to visit a local school to hand out some supplies and a small village to taste some Palm wine and experience the locals way of life, which is a humbling experience.
After saying our goodbyes to the family, we headed back to Senegal for our overnight stay in a lovely guest house on the shores of Kafountine. Now I must admit this guest house far exceeded our expectations, and I’m glad I trusted Lams judgement.
Next morning we set off on a boat ride along the river and mangroves, spotting various wildlife along the way before reaching an island, where we were greeted by another family to experience their way of life. Again this was another humbling and insightful experience. This was then followed by a tour of Kafoutine, taking in the sights and smells of the bustling fishing port and local market.
Lams and Bakary delivered on everything and more that had been promised for our 2 day adventure and we can’t wait for future visits. There’s are a lot of guides in Gambia but lams and the team really do stand head and shoulders above the rest. They won’t disappoint.

First, the good. Communication while I was planning the trip was very good. Lams was willing to work with me on price, was very flexible with the deposit, and was able to provide good insight on the places that I wanted to visit. He had great connections at the checkpoints. He met us to start the trip at the place and time that we had agreed on, and gave us some really helpful tips for the border crossing into Gambia. I was looking forward to traveling with him based on the good reviews.
Overall, the trip itself was very mixed. The first day was a trip to the Wassu circles. The drive was supposed to take under four hours but it took almost six due to a few stops on the way that I hadn't requested. I had to tell Lams that we needed to keep moving as he didn't seem aware of the time at all. As a result, the visit to the circles was very rushed. The cost was definitely not worth such a short time at the circles.
The second day was a trip to Roots James Island, which went very well. Getting to the island from Banjul requires a few steps and the guide that Lams sent was very helpful every step of the way. He made the logistics very easy and did a great job.
The third day was a city tour of Banjul. In retrospect, there isn't a lot to see so I'm not sure that I would recommend paying any guide for a city tour. The guide that Lams sent showed up an hour late and hadn't made an effort to communicate, so I assumed that he wasn't going to show up. I called Lams to get an update but he was with a group in Guinea Bissau and didn't have phone service. The guide finally showed up but I had already made different plans.
I understand that miscommunications happen, but the real issue with this is that it was impossible to contact anyone for assistance. It's likely that you will be completely stranded if something happens, including any emergencies, while Lams is out of phone service range. Lams did refund my money for the city tour, but it would have been so much easier if he had been reachable and able to work out a solution.

Ishamel was the tour guide assigned to us, we used Lambs Tours for an airport pick up and did the Fathala lion walk/Safari with them.
Ishamel is a delight to be around, knowledgeable and very helpful. Throughout our tour it felt like traveling with a friend rather then a tour guide.
On the day of the airport pick up he was there on time waiting for us, and went out of his way to help us exchange money on route to our hotel.
Again, on the day of the Fathala lion walk/ safari Ishamel was there to pick us up on time, he is well established so traveling from The Gambia, across the river and into Senegal and back was made very easy, with not a lot of waiting around.
The Fathala lion walk was a great experience but it’s not as natural as you expect (but again they are lions). The Safari was great too with a range of animals in the wildlife park to see.

I made contact with Lams Tours through Google prior to my trip to The Gambia. Lamin was prompt at replying to emails, provided me with reasonably-priced quotes for tours, arrived to pick me up on time, and was friendly and pleasant throughout our trip. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take one of Lamin's longer tours this time, but he manages tours across the area (Guinea Bissau, Senegal, Sierra Leone, ...) for all types of tourists. He listens to what you want to see and will make all the appropriate arrangements. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful day tour with Lams around Western Gambia. We saw the crocodile pond, Serrekunda market, a goat/cattle market, Paradise Beach, and a fishing village. Lams has 15-20 years of experience in tourism, and it shows. He is extremely professional, positive, funny, and works hard to tailor the trip to the people he is with. It was a wonderful way to experience Gambia, and learn a lot about the island, and the culture(s) of this country.

What a guy !!, Lams collected us from the airport on arrival at Banjul and we spent seven of the next eleven days in his company. We were determined to get 'off the beaten track' and experience the real Gambia and Senegal. Nothing was too much trouble and after the first day we felt like we were 'part of the family'. Every tour was perfectly organized and always included considerably more than the advertised package. Lams is very passionate and has a wealth of knowledge about his country, it's history, its politics, its traditions and pretty much any other subject which may be of interest. We laughed continuously while in his company and have treasured memories which will stay with us forever. I would award the highest recommendation possible, well done !!

We went for the South Senegal tour with Lams Tour. Very nice day very interactive and loads of activities. The boat ride to Kailo village and the Kailo Village was the highlight of the tour. A day very well spent with Lam and Bakarey.
Kafountine fishing village was lovely and we stopped there in a restaurant by the beach for some very delicious lunch.
There are many tour companies in Banjul / Serrekunda but will suggest you to go with Lams tour. They have a well organised tour plan and they are a reputed company. Avoid the cowboy tour guides in the Beach Area.
We will definitely come back to Gambia again and will do some more trips with Lams in the future.

Our trips through Lams Tours were excellent. The lads who did the trips with us (Smiley, Bakary and Blackie) were all very good. They gave us lots of information about the places we visited and they all had great personalities. Las was quick in replying to texts and it was easy to book whichever trip you wanted through him. We would recommend Lams Tours for all of your trips in and around The Gambia
