The Dr. Oliver Bronson home is being brought back from the brink of oblivion by the dedicated work of local historic preservationists. Although there is a lot of restoration work still to do, you can see why it is on the Register of National Historic sites. It is a spectacular house that has been saved from ruin and is undergoing restoration by Historic Hudson. A landmark in the history of American domestic architecture it is a must for anyone seriously interested in the history of the Hudson River.

This property has an aura. It is beautiful in decline and renovation. I am glad that I got to experience the before and can't wait to revisit the after. The house is set back in a magnificent woodland setting. The walk way is not level and the grounds in general although beautiful require walking shoes and balance care. There is... More
