Yes this is a real castle and when you take a guided tour you will be impressed not only at what you see, but even more impressed to learn how one man can make a difference.

We did not stay at the hotel, we only came for the tour. The mansion and gardens or lovely, a great excursion for a crisp fall day. The restoration work is interesting, our tour guide was well-versed in the history and delivered a great tour.

OHEKA is a wonderful place to visit to see an original Gold Coast mansion that has been restored to it's original glory. Loverly property and grounds and would highly recommend the restaurant/bar for lunch or a drink.
