I love this place!

We ended up here after doing the Sagan Planet Walk, and, I mean...it was fine! It's not really meant for grown-ups, and, as a grown-up, I was a little bored by a lot of the exhibits. The animal room was fun, though--we got to see crested gecko up close and even touch it, and that was cool.

Because I live in the DC area and have my standards set by the Smithsonian, I'm spoiled for museums since few can compare. This one, though, had a host of engaging, hands-on exhibits, from magnets and nanoparticles to driving a Mars rover to experimenting with water flow. It's oriented mostly toward the younger set, but this 58-year-old NASA engineer had... More

My eight year old grand daughter enjoyed herself but it was very interesting for this 68 year old engineer, too!

If you can go on a day where you can use the outdoor playground it brings you it to 5 stars. It is a really reasonable museum and everything is hands on. Loved the interactive feel. My children, 6 and 9, were ready go through each exhibit a second time. I liked that they stretched the mind through brain teasers... More

Science concepts are presented in an engaging and fun way for elementary aged children. There is an inside and outside part to the museum. There are places for grandparents to sit in several of the sections. The center has a special area for children 4 and under to enjoy while older siblings tour other parts. Younger children could also play... More

Anything that can keep these 4 kids interested for 3 or 4 hours is always a winner in my book! All the exhibits were interactive and hands on. My daughter loved the musical room and my son the space. On the day we went the outside space was being renovated but to be honest we found enough to do inside... More

Ithaca is surprisingly urban for being upstate. Our visit to Scienccenter was a great afternoon. Based on a tried and true formula for hands on science museums this is a good sized facility clean and everything worked! Great outdoor area for further fun and learning.

A great place for kids and kids at heart. Many interactive, informative, and fun activities teach children about some of the fundamentals of science. A large playground explores the physics behind sound and motion. A two story main exhibit area with a rotating special exhibit, animal room, and central area with a toddler area. My nephews are 2 and 1... More

The kids absolutely loved it. They loved the hands on activities. Very family friendly atmosphere. Ramps made stroller accessible everywhere which was great both indoors and outdoors. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Will definitely come back if traveling this way.
