Love the area , nice scenic , can be a bit pricey.....have to shop around for best hotel deals...use AAA to get a discount.

Visited Lake George during Americade and had a good time. There is plenty to see and do in the area and the residents are very welcoming.

Anywhere downtown on Canada Street is walkable to many restaurants but nearer to Beach Road is what we found most convenient. if you have a car, parking can be difficult and meters are not cheap. We stayed further South of... More

Any place on the lake is great for swimming..we camped up near Hague many, many years ago but I don’t remember the name of the islands,,just check out the NYS Parks website and it will list those islands available or... More

I know the Boathouse Restaurant lets you park and eat at the restaurant. Contact the visitor center for actual places to park overnight.
