Went with my freind for his birthday, apperently he was terrified of wax sculptures, which made it all the better and entertaining for me (not that anything jumps out at you, or even attempts to scare). At the end of it, there is a blackhole that you walk through (walls spinning to make you dizzy) which is fun.

The house of Frankie has been an attraction at the Lake for at least 35 years that I can remember. I took my granddaughter & her friend there a few years ago and yep the same as I remember. But that is a good thing. It isn't one of those spook houses that are gory and very frightening. It is... More

If you want to go to a wax museum with realistic looking wax statues (some of which actually move), then this is the place! There is also a lot of history about the wax figures and what they represent. If you are lucky, you may also see Frankenstein walking outside the front of the museum!

My Wife and I had a few hours to kill one afternoon so we decided to check out the House of Frankenstein Wax Museum and we had a fun time. Yes it is showing some signs of age We enjoyed the displays and exhibits and there was a lot more to the museum than we had anticipated. The walk through... More

Not as scary as you think, kind of amusing. Okay for pre teens. Maybe not so much for little kids. Frankenstein is always willing to take pictures.

Not worth the money. Needs repairs and help with making the exhibits more realistic. The only part I liked and that was funny not scary was walking on the bridge with the lights circling around you. made you feel like you were going to fall.

As other reviews suggest this is a slightly old-fashioned display, but I and my 17 year old son found it a lot of fun. A few slight scares and gory waxworks or torques and executions, but the best things are at the end - a mirror maze and a very disorienting walkway through a rotating sky. We much preferred it... This place hasn't changed in the past 50 years and Frankenstein hasn't aged a bit! The only things that change are the displays in the main entrance...

Definitely not suitable for young children. Nothing jumps out at you but it is very dark and quite grotesque. Absolutely nothing to do with Frankenstein (was he even in there somewhere?). And the tunnel that you have to exit through WILL make you extremely dizzy.

I thought the name of the place should be "House of Tortures". A lot of the scenes showed various torture methods used throughout history (like the hot poker to the mouth; crushing someone who was laying on a bed of nails with a concrete weight), or historical and fictional murderers (Jack the Ripper, Freddy Krueger, etc.). There's a sign at... More
