Such a beautiful time-travel experience through the history of this farm and its owners! The place itself and its surroundings are gorgeous, staff is incredibly kind and caring, the tour itself was interesting, and the food was absolutely amazing! Could actually come back just to enjoy the beauty and serenity of that place and get another of these lunches! Being able to see Columbus monkeys from such close distance is also a huge bonus (some attractions featuring them in nearby country carry a hefty price tag)…

Kiambethu Tea Farm is a must do while visiting Nairobi. The farm is located near the Limuru Girls School north of Nairobi. Actually, the farm's owner (Fiona) told us her grandfather established the school in the early 20th century. The tea farm is a small subset of a much larger plantation that has been sold over the years. Fiona's farm has lovely gardens, Calabash monkeys, and milk cows. The afternoon was just delightful. A tea tasting while Fiona explained the history of the property was followed by a stroll through the forest while the guide pointed out the various trees and history of the place. Lunch was served buffet style and taken outside under large umbrellas. The ice cream is worth the trip, and made from the cows milk on site. The tranquility of the place contrasts sharply with the hustle and bustle of the streets of Nairobi. This is a must do experience. You will not be disappointed.…

We visited Kiambethu earlier today and it was a superb experience. A short picturesque drive from Nairobi CBD area, it is a perfect day trip to do. From the welcome we received once we arrived, to the tremendous talk that Fiona gave us about tea (we learnt so much, and yet it was not information overload) and finally to the amazing tea and lunch - everything was just perfect. The farm house is really charming and lawn and gardens are beautiful and a great place to spend some time too. The walk through the indigenous forest was also refreshing. Fiona and the team have really made their home a little piece of heaven and it was lovely to be their guests for the day - everyone makes you feel right at home. The only difficulty with coming here is that you don't want to leave.…

I absolutely loved this place! The tea was amazing and the views were gorgeous!!! I took a day trip with two other people to the tea farm from Nairobi and we had the best time even with the rain. The lunch was yummy and you are able to get as much tea as you want to drink. The owner was extremely nice and her niece was very helpful.…
