Small scale, pristine nature park and rest camp with a small quiver tree forest featuring rocks shaped by the same geological phenomena as the Giant's playground. Is lovely quirky due to the various art objects (near the reception) the owners made. Definitely worth a stop-over on your way from/to Windhoek to/from Fish River Canyon.

Basic campsite facilities, very rustic. But if you want good value for money and outstanding photo opportunities at both sunset and sunrise of quiver trees, this is a spot to be. Very quiet. Although basic, it was clean and everything works! Price, good.

Fantastic place...but do not expect 5* luxury, it has all the amenities you could want for camping but they are quirky and you have to be adaptable. We loved it Marion and Hendryke were lovely people and she is trying her hardest to keep it as natural and close to nature. The night sky, sunsets and just the short walks... More

We had a wonderful campsite at Garas Park Rest camp, with electricity as pre-arranged with Marian when booking :) The facilities are clean and tidy; there is hot water for the showers and there is facility to wash dishes (though with 5L water bottles in a sink, not with running tap water (this applies to dish-washing only - ablutions have... My husband, children and I recently camped here! What an unforgettable experience! My 7-year old explore every inch, climbing on the rocks and just generally having a ball. Wide open spaces, beautiful quiver trees and peace and quite around the campfire! My teenage daughter was in stitches when showering the next morning, because the hot water has to be kept... More

You have two options for seeing Quiver trees in this area. We chose here and found Marian (the owner) to be very helpful. Recommended for dawn and especially for sunset.
