A Lake Placid MUST see

The views are amazing (bring your camera) & going out on the observation deck was really cool! The elevator attendant was very friendly & knowledgeable as well.

I was so glad we went to see this and you really should as well! It's hard to believe the magnitude of this after only watching it on TV! You can even take an elevator to the top of the jump for a small fee. Definitely recommend seeing this!!! WOW!

This was our 2nd time in Lake Placid after many years, and it being spring break mostly everything is closed, but this wasn't. For $8 you can go to the top of these magnificent jumps and feel the fear. The guide in the elevator was super friendly and knowledgeable. A really cool observation deck too. I would say a cool... It is good to see there, but I think this is one of the place that could be see in a good period, winter. I am after not a lof of snow, not possible to see ski jumping from bottom. Super that you can go up.

We took the elevator to the top of the ski jump and the views were spectacular! It was awesome to see how high they actually jump from. When you get off the elevator there's an indoor room with windows all around. Then there are doors that lead to an observation deck. The best view is seen from walking up the... More

I have tried to visit the place at the end of March. There was no car. In the parking lot. I assumed that it was closed. In fact there is not to much to visit in lake placid at the end of March.

It's so worth a trip to see what the skiers see when they're hurtling down this. They're incredibly brave! It's well setup with a lift getting you to the top, would have loved to have seen some people going off the 90 but it wasn't open when we were there. Nice pictures at the top of the old Olympic events.

A ski jumping competition was going on so it was exciting to watch! We went up the chairlift and went up the tower to the top of the ski jump. What a view! There's a beautiful new building that was great to warm up in.

We went here for the burning leaves fest and got to watch some ski jumping. If you have the chance to take the trip up the jump do so, as the views of the high peaks is second to none.
