Wilderness beauty. Adirondack history. Serenity. Cruise the pristine waters of Lake Placid in one of our enclosed pontoon boats. The hour-long, narrated tour travels 16 miles on one of the world's most beautiful lakes. See and hear about the stately manors situated along the shore, Adirondack wildlife, and Whiteface Mountain, site of the alpine events during the 1980 Winter Olympic Games. A Lake Placid boat tour is a must for all visitors to the Adirondacks. Rain or shine, it is truly a delightful experience.

This was a most interesting 1 hour boat trip of lake placid. The narrator was knowledgeable and humorous. In a covered catamaran type boat, we toured the lake with its numerous islands, some of them habitable. The shoreline is dotted with houses and boat houses (camps) and majority are privately owned. Seeing the Adirondack wildlife and the magnificent Whiteface Mountain... More

This boat ride was a highlight of our three day trip to Lake Placid. The day was beautiful and the trees were at peak. We had planned to take the 3:00 cruise. I'd advise you to go to the dock early to buy your ticket. When we arrive about 2:30, we were told the trip was sold out, but we... More

Even on a grey, overcast, brisk morning, it was well worth it to take this charming boat ride. Our young guide, Captain Jack, was quite knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna of the lake. The scenery was spectacular and Captain Jack made sure we were comfortable.

An hour of your life you will remember forever. This boat tour was incredibly worth the $16 price per person. Sam, our guide, was informative and fun. He has been guiding for 10 years and lives in the area, so he knows "the rest of the story." Take this tour and find out the secrets of the rich and "not... More

Lake Placid (the lake) really is beautiful snuggled in between two mountains. You start out on this cruise and as you approach the first of the homes hugging its shores you think, "I could see myself having a getaway home here." Then your guide begins his narration and you realize the only way that's ever going to happen is if... More

We really enjoyed the ride on Lake Placid. Our young local collage student guide was funny, knowledgable and easy to understand. The weekend we were there in September it cooled off and was sunny and clear making it a beautiful boat ride.

If you go to Lake Placid, the boat tour is a must!! There were two boats going at the same time, we got on the one with chairs facing the front, glad we chose this one. The tour guide told us all about the Lake, the mansions, or as they call them "camps", the history and answered any questions we... More

We had a very enjoyable ride on Lake Placid with this company. The weather was perfect and the water was like a mirror. It is only an hour long and the tour touches on all the "cottages" that line the lake. Our guide was very funny and knowledgeable about the area. I highly recommend this tour to spend a lazy... We wanted to see this lake and learn about it's history. This was a good way to do so. The one hour cruise was on a pontoon boat that went around the lake. Our captain and guide gave good information abut the lake. The area caters to the rich as the mansions along the shore attested too. This was a... More
