Visited this small biscuit factory down at Maheborg today - Wasn’t quite sure what to expect. However we were pleasantly surprised as the method being used to make the biscuits is certainly interesting. They use a flour made from a root, and the biscuits are...More

Interesting to see how this company have converted a vegetable to a biscuit which is gluten and vegan free. Slightly expensive for what it is, which is a tour of the small factory where little machinery is used. You get an opportunity to taste the...More

It isn’t often that you visit a biscuit factory let alone one where the production is simple and mostly manual. I’m not sure I’d recommend it to anyone but my sister and I always look up unusual ‘attractions’ in the countries we visit so this...More

This is an interesting experience on how biscuits are handmade and the biscuit sampling at the end (with a cup of tea) is a the cherry on top of the cake. What makes this biscuit factory extra appealing for travellers is that when you take...More

Biscuiterie Rault exists more than 190 years, with the help of family Rault who came from France. Biscuits made from manioc roots being cultivated in the neighbourhood. Without any chemical product, no preservative added. A visit is a must including biscuit tasting.

This is a short tour round a small family owned factory that is truly doing things "traditionally" unlike most the way the word is used in usual western marketing hype. All truly handmade just as they have been for over 100 years. the biscuits themselves...More

This small factory makes manioc biscuits and has been in business for over 100 years. It's a very small factory with just 9 workers, and you are taken round to see the machinery and the way the biscuits are made. Afterwards you are taken outside...More

Around 20 minutes walk from the town, the factory is a small building overlooking the tapioca plantation. The ladies working the tasting and tour are polite and efficient, and speak English. The tasting isn't rushed and they are happy to leave you to do your...More

Never been to a biscuit factory before, great tour showing the end to end process which is largely unchanged from creation. Fascinating history. Loved the tasting at the end of the tour. Great.

You just turn up and they arrange it on a first come first serve basis - Mostly everyone speaks English, so it isn't a long wait. They do a tour / tour + tasting - Rs. 170 for the tasting+tour, I think..
