This small factory makes manioc biscuits and has been in business for over 100 years. It's a very small factory with just 9 workers, and you are taken round to see the machinery and the way the biscuits are made. Afterwards you are taken outside...More

Around 20 minutes walk from the town, the factory is a small building overlooking the tapioca plantation. The ladies working the tasting and tour are polite and efficient, and speak English. The tasting isn't rushed and they are happy to leave you to do your...More

Never been to a biscuit factory before, great tour showing the end to end process which is largely unchanged from creation. Fascinating history. Loved the tasting at the end of the tour. Great.

Totally enjoyed my trip here and DO like the biscuits. Relaxing, interesting tour, great tea break afterwards. Wife thought this would be an odd visit, but then loved the photos and wished she had come along!

The production of biscuits is just the same as it was in 1870 and obviously health and safety is not a consideration. We were amused by the old family matriarch with her knitting keeping a wary eye on things. She told one of our party...More

Despite the fact that we got lost on the way here, we were extremely pleased that we didn't give up. It was a really lovely experience - a little slice of authentic Mauritius. We arrived at around noon and expected the tours to be over...More

Nice experience: a short visit of the little factory, and a tasting of the biscuits and gallets. A short walk after the bridge and then you have to follow the signals of the factory An experience of 40' including the tasting

You just turn up and they arrange it on a first come first serve basis - Mostly everyone speaks English, so it isn't a long wait. They do a tour / tour + tasting - Rs. 170 for the tasting+tour, I think..
