This beach is the mecca for surfers and paddle boarders. Difficulty in finding parking so get there early. There is an awesome food truck there so no need ot leave for lunch. Walking the trails along the bluff is another reason to go. Breath taking.

Ditch is a special place for me. My first time to montauk was Labor day 2008. I have returned to this same location because of the surf break and hospitality.

A popular beach for surfers all year round but much nicer to visit on the off season. The beach has a great deal of erosion from the Nor'easters and storms but it is still nice to walk the shoreline of the beach and observe all...More

best place for surfing - only problem was you need a permit to park. otherwise there is no parking. the view was great, and the surfing was great, were there every day for a week.

Wonderful beach off of the beaten path. small parking lot by permit in summer but it seems to be open to the public off season.

This beach is easy to get onto. Quiet. Draws a good crowd. Has showers, bathroom and a nice food truck. You will need a Town of East Hampton Parking Pass to park at the beach.

Its a lovely beach with a wild sea in the autumn. Great for surfers. Off season, it's a but empty and really windy. Warm cloth required.

"The" surfing spot in Montauk. But also good for swimming. Parking can be difficult. Interesting terrain west of beach, so enjoy the walk.

While in MONTAUK Hither Hills is an epic spot for surfing or sunbathing. The Ditch Witch along with all the personalities makes a fantastic time for all. Can't wait till the next time :)

Great beach and surfing if you can get a pass. Get there early if you do have a pass. Lots of surfers, surf camps and families. Lifeguards on duty during the day.

Yes Kevin, there is a lot adjacent to Ditch Plains which actually requires a Easthampton Permit, but I don't think you should have a problem this time of year [DEC.], but hay life is a gamble, so be guided, this is not a... More
