The setting is fabulous. The grounds are great. It is best on a beautiful day if you feel like walking outside. I enjoy the sculpture, the stonewall, the trees, and exhibits. I have gone many times, I never see everything in one visit.

Please tell me if there is a larger display of outdoor sculpture in the U.S. More acres with more sculptures? Storm King Art Center, one place despite being confusingly listed as in New Windsor, Mountainville and Cornwall-on-Hudson, is astounding in size, scale and quality. Many oversize works by famous American and international sculptors carefully scattered across breathtaking acreage. Even dedicated... More

Storm King is one of the most beautiful outdoor sculpture gardens on earth. Dozens of important works by numerous internationally recognized artists. We go during all seasons and the experience changes each time we visit. Simply wonderful.

Storm King's many acres of rolling hills are alive with massive sculptures of metal, stone and earth. In addition to the impressive collection of 'normal sized' pieces in the museum housed in the 1935 Normandy style stone house that also serves a visitor center, the hundred acres of grounds form a careful, but brilliantly unfussy lay-out for massive works --... Drove from NYC. Arrived around 1pm and stayed three and a half hours. We walked the entire park and enjoyed every minute. We did not rent bikes or ride the tram. Tram seemed to come very regularly - we just preferred to walk and enjoy the fall day. The scale of the grounds and sculptures is amazing. We had lunch... More

I went up with friends for the first time this fall, and I will definitely be back! The leaves were gorgeous, first of all. The drive was not too bad from NYC - maybe 1.5 hours? And there was way more art and ground to cover than you could do in one relaxed day. Next time, I will bring portable... More

If you have a car and take up the trip from NYC to go shopping spend a couple of hours at this huge sculpture park. Great place to walk especially in the fall. They have trolleys but not enough so avoid weekends and holidays. A bit overpriced to get in.
