This rating is purely based on the conditions we had. It is January and Gore recently got hit with some bad rain, nothing you can do about it. But there were definitely a few trails that should not have been open because of limited cover and really bad ice. Apres ski was pretty awesome though. Live band and pretty decent... More

Gore Mountain is my favorite ski area in the East. It has a variety of terrain including one of the steepest slopes in the world, The Rumor. It is generally not overcrowded, and skiers can spread out onto different parts of the mountain. Snow making is excellent. The quad chair lifts and the gondola are speedy.

I went to Gore Mountain recently to go skiing. Gore Mountain is in North Creek, New York. It's a nice place to ski because the trails are long and the mountain is big and pretty. Therefore I think it is a place for you to go skiing with your family.

Gore has improved over the years and of course ticket prices have jumped as well...I can remember skiing there for a day as a kid and paying $8 in the 1970s. Of course back then if Mothr Nature failed to produce you were stuck to the t-bar trails and hopping across dirt and grass so at least that has improved... More

Our family of 4 skied 3 days between Christmas and New York. We really enjoyed skiing at Gore. It's one of the least crowded place that we've been to. Christmas is a little early in the season to ski. So a limited # of trails are open. We had about 6 inches of snow during the 3 days that we... More

Most skiers travel to Vermont's numerous ski areas only to find long lines. Gore mountain is a New York State owned mountain. I found the conditions better than the conditions in Vermont. There are numerous areas to go into the trees and enjoy first class powder skiing. This is a no frills type of resort. If you are looking for... More

Staying at the Holiday Inn Resort and skiing at Gore Mountain. We were able to book personal lesson, adult group lessons, and a full day skiing instruction for three of our kids. The was made simple by Liz at the 2nd floor customer service desk. She was knowledgeable about the facility and took the time to find out each (5... More

we recently had a conference in Lake George and one of the activities involved a hands on demonstration at the (almost) top of Gore. There was over a hundred of us and the staff accommodated us very nicely. Part of the group hiked the remainder of the way from the gondola drop off spot to the summit where there is... More

As a family, we have enjoyed snow tubing in mid- winter and gondola rides in fall. We all love both! We have been doing this for several years. The views from the top of the mountain are incredible. We have found the snow tubing less crowed than other runs in the area.
