People were parking all the way down the road and there were barely racks free to put your skiis- but the resort is so big you could *almost* forget how crazy it was once you were out on the trails. The staff were definitely stressed by the crowds, and some were a bit gruff, but we had a great experience,... More

Hi TDNY- Thank you so much for visiting us and taking the time to write a review! This weekend was BY FAR the busiest weekend in our history- let's just say we're looking forward to building another parking lot this summer. I am so glad that you found the crowds dispersed well on the mountain and that your kids were... More

I am a season pass holder, ski with the Ladies Escape group and/or Secret Society. These programs are excellent. The instructors are wonderful and know their stuff! The mountain has a vast variety of trails, glades and great views. Right now there is a ton of snow and great coverage. Even in seasons of little snow, the crew manages to... More

We enjoyed a day of skiing and snowboarding at Gore. We went on a Thursday and it was empty. Lots of fresh powder made the trails awesome. Lots of intermediate and expert slopes. We enjoyed the gondola since it was a windy day. We bought our lift tickets online at a discount.

Looking for a place to teach my child to ski who had gone 3 time prior. Did not want to spend full price daily ticket fees to spend it on the small slopes so saw Gore North Creek Ski Bowl. Prices what I was looking for. Can connect to main mountain with the main mountain ticket if purchased that way.... More

If you have a chance to come to Gore mountain on a weekday - grab it! It's well worth the trip from the Capital district, for a fun day in the snow They have excellent snow making equipment and use it all the way until the end of February. When the trails are nicely groomed and few people line up... More

Hi Tina, Thanks for visiting and for your review! We love everyday at Gore, but midweek days certainly offer lots of extra space to cruise with your crew. Yes, snowmakers continue to be busy on our four peaks of terrain- we hope you can return later this season to enjoy more of their efforts! Snowboarders always welcome, I'm one haha!... More

Gore Mountain is a gem in the things one can do in NYS. Despite unpredictable weather and they make the best of their snowmaking ability. Season passes and frequent Skier Cards make Gore a great value as well. We drive two hours from Rome NY once or twice during the week. Never any lines. The variety of terrain available should... Hi Ray! Thanks for sharing a review, and for visiting us frequently! We are glad you find a nice trail variety and great value- two things we work hard to provide. Over the summer, we plan to make some nice renovations for an overlook and improved warming hut at our summit. Stay in touch as we look forward to making... More

This place handled the volume of riders pretty well. Trails were easily accessed from various lifts and clearly labeled. The staff was friendly and approachable. The lodge had a great vibe with decent food. All around fun time will be back!

I had to drive east from Buffalo in order to get some serious skiing in this winter. It's been raining there all week! It was 35+ outside on 1/19/17 but the well-groomed trails at Gore Mt. were excellent!!! - tho, they were starting to deteriorate by late afternoon. 'Loved the variety of trails and the gondola rides were quick. The... More

This rating is purely based on the conditions we had. It is January and Gore recently got hit with some bad rain, nothing you can do about it. But there were definitely a few trails that should not have been open because of limited cover and really bad ice. Apres ski was pretty awesome though. Live band and pretty decent... More

Hi Zachary, The weather was challenging, and right before MLK weekend was not our favorite timing! That said, the forecast has improved, and we are very happy you were able... More

Gore Mountain is my favorite ski area in the East. It has a variety of terrain including one of the steepest slopes in the world, The Rumor. It is generally not overcrowded, and skiers can spread out onto different parts of the mountain. Snow making is excellent. The quad chair lifts and the gondola are speedy.
