Nice beach and harbour, they have markets on designated days. Good time wandering around shops. Sellers can be pushy but we just said if you keep on we won't come into your shop. Good selection of cafe's, bars and restaurants

Started with e drive through Santa Maria, then through the salt mine area near by. We then moved on to a small beach with views of the 'Lion' mountain range. Next we... More

The beaches here are stunning, the people are extremely friendly. We left our resort on many days to wander around Santa Maria. We had a few nights in Buddy's bar, has a massive selection of Gins, Whiskeys and Rums, the live music... More

Great town to visit, excellent beach front, pier great when the boats come in! Good resteraunt everywhere, and the people are helpful and friendly. Remember it is a third world country so a little run down but full of character well worth a stay.

We walked along this beach from our hotel Riu Palace all the way along Santa Maria Beach and into Santa Maria. Called into a beach along the way for a cheeky beer. Enjoy
