We went there eventhough the weather was stormy and the children (as well as we) were a bit scared. We One time our little one fell and hit her head due to the big waves. When we finally arrived to the snorkeling site we were soaked / wet and the waves were too big for the kids (as well as for most adults) to be able to go snorkeling and theywere also cold. Later the weather started clearing up and the rest of the trip was better. The Crew was kind and the food was also nice so on a sunny day with no wind I would probably give the tour 4-5 out of 5 points but I would not go another time in such weather and I am dissapointed they did not cancel or offered us to go another day.

What a waste! I am a solo traveller who found someone promoting this in Zanzibar. I travelled for a long time for basic snorkelling, and a delicious seafood meal, but nothing interesting at all and I would highly not recommend it! when arrived and walked to the boat we were advised to put the shoes on because of Sea urchins So YOU NEED TO BE CAREFUL. Walking with shoes on with loads of seaweed underneath makes the ground slippery and you need to walk very slowly and steadily. when we arrived at the site with another 10 boats or so, I could see the boat hanger thrown deep in the sea and destroying coral =( such a sad thing, no wonder it died and there is no special sea life at all! In the second place, we had lunch cooked by locals. It was delicious and fresh <3 that was the best thing on this tour. On our way back and as we approached the Island the charity bucket came out and I was like " I am already paying a fortune for this!!!!" There was an awkward silence and looking at each other in the boat. What made it worse was the high expectations that I had and paying way too much. I realised later that it was a ripoff, it cost me 140$ when in my opinion it should be no more than 50-70$. I preferred the Prison Island tour much more.

Was worried at start as despite signage off the main road the drop off point for the trip didn’t seem to be right… anyway finally underway after grouping out by low skiffs to the ancient dhows. 15 per dhow makes good seating and ample space to move around. Sensible length swims and beach tours so no rush on and off the boat. Good reef visits for seeing live coral and many fish (flippers, face masks and snorkels) provided.
Then to a splendid and plentiful BBQ under tented cover with good choices of drinks.
Well hosted by the cheerful crew who made it a very pleasant day out … call it 10 ish to 4 pm.

We booked this trip directly from the safari blue.
A thoroughly enjoyable day spent at the beautiful turquoise Indian Ocean.
Friendly and helpful staff, great food and snorkelling was just beautiful albeit for a short time.
The owner Elinor was very professional and gave us great advice to make most of the day doing this as we were going to Nungwi. She arranged for a driver to pick us from our hotel and return us to the hotel in Nungwi.

We went on the blue safari and we can say we were very disappointed of the service.
We texted the number of this company and asked for a snorkeling trip. They responded with an offer for a blue safari, 35$ per person. We didn't know that the whole trip would only include 20 minutes of snorkeling over a broken riff which is destroyed by all the ankers of the boats that let tourists inside of the water.
We drove 40 minutes from Paje and arrived at the spot to enter the water, it was complete chaos, no one knew what was happening. There was no guiding at all on this tour. We had to grab dirty snorkeling utensils in different sizes. Then we went on a boat to drive to a sandbank with hundreds of other tourists. We could only hide in the shadow of a small tent in the heat. After that we went snorkeling as I said for 20minutes with very few fishes and a destroyed riff. We asked beforehand if there would be vegetarian food. The available vegetarian food consisted of two tablespoons of cold rice and a few chips. Nothing else. They let us out with all the other boats of tourists on a "lonely" island full of shops where we were supposed to spend one hour. Probably to buy things. The "guide" didn't keep the group together, actually one of the guests was taking care of that because some were still on the toilet when we left. All of it was unprofessional and full of tourists everywhere.
