The ruins by itself is ok not great. But the sunset view is amazing. It’s worth seeing. Crowded during sunset time. One of the must see location in Santorini

This is an old Venetian Castle that is now in ruins. There are stairs down to the ruins but not a lot there other than the photo op.

We didn't actually walk into the ruins, too crowded with people but the ruins has a commanding view from its vantage point. Also the area near the Castle ruins is lovely w/ blooming bougainvillea all around. Lovely spot!

There actually isn´t much left to see of the Venetian Castle Ruin, so people don´t go here for it´s archeological value! The views from the Castle are breathtakingly gorgeous though, and this is the most popular spot to visit for the famous sunset. Due to...More

Forgot to mention - the parking is close to the Panagia Church, that's worthwhile in itself. From the church square you enter the old town and proceed about straight to the ruin.
