Located across from the Ogdensburg public library, the museum is in a prime location to downtown. Take a walk along the waterfront park before or after perusing Remington's work. If you have little ones, there is a kids section located in a separate building down the block. Lots of hands on activities for them there.

Ever since he was around six my son has been fascinated with Frederick Remington's art. Once aware of this museum knew had to visit. Finally did so and it was so worthwhile. It's a relatively small museum but that is to be expected as it is dedicated to a single, although prolific, artist. There is a free audio tour if... More

This little gem is tucked away along the St. Lawrence Seaway in the small town of Ogdensburg, NY. The historic home is filled a huge collection of original Remington paintings, sculptures, and artist memorabilia. The knowledgeable guides start you off by offering a nice overview of Remington's life and background before you are allowed to freely explore the collection and... More

The bronzes are just stunning. His skills are amazing. If you have been to the Rockwell Gallery in Corning, you will have seen some of his paintings. I am so glad that someone made a record of the times and the people.

Being a fan of Frederick Remington this was a must see for me. It was a excellent display. I loved the setting (his wifes old house).

Chock full of Remington's iconic art this museum is a great stop. Side exhibits include the captivating history of the building, period pieces, the wealthy men and women who lived there and their lives. Allow 1-2 hours to tour this nice sized facility and admire Remington's work; learn about his business acumen and his progression as an artist. One can... More

This museum is beautiful, and just steps from the banks of the Saint Lawrence River. It is small enough to be easily toured, but complete enough to gain a real knowledge of the man and the art.

Decided to check out this art museum one Sunday afternoon since it was free for residents. I was hoping to learn more about the local history and was not disappointed at all. Going in, I was already familiar with Remington's famous statues of the the bronco buster and the rattlesnake but that was about it. I really didn't know how... More
