I've been here when it was warmer out and the flowers in bloom. Such a lovely place. I had a great time admiring the flowers and taking pictures of them as well.

My boyfriend and I had our first date in May 2015, at the Gardens. We walked, admired the beautiful flowers, foliage, ponds, and back woods of this delightful mansion grounds. We are now engaged, and revisited in May 2016, walked the same grounds, and enjoyed time in the Gazebo which is so tranquil and serene. This is the most amazing... More

Beautiful grounds, house, gardens forever, vistas, friendly staff. I even had a salad at the cafe, grilled chicken, and was delicious...with walnuts and strawberries and nice owner. Needs better map,of grounds. The staff at the house were nice, though they didn't know how to scan the icon that came with the map for a self guided tour. Three said they... More

It's a wonderful way to experience and imagine the life of the wealthy in the good old days! Before income tax. It's a part of the USA's history and that of the Gold Coast.

Nice place to visit and learn about NY and Long Island history. The main house is well preserved that gives visitors a real picture of how life was during those times for this family.

Every year I buy my tickets in advance as soon as they become available and so should you! It's the Halloween thing to do to see the artistry these pumpkin carving masters do to a ordinary vegetable/fruit. It's so amazing to see over 5000 carved pumpkins all lite up spread along a seamless pathway to delight children and plenty of... More

Visited these beautiful gardens on several occasions - with and without my dog. The gardens have special dog days. I enjoy photography and the greenhouses are loaded with beautiful orchids and other flowers

Breathtaking gardens and house tour makes this a great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. In addition there are over 5000 carved pumpkins that are creatively done. Must buy tickets in advance to do evening pumpkin walk. So ideally, one can tour mansion and gardens and then do carved pumpkin exhibit.
