This state park is well kept and clean; truly a hidden gem on the North Fork of Long Island. It's a beautifully peaceful park with lots of activities. Also great for picnics and bbq's. I personally am looking into renting the pavilion to have my future wedding here!

Well we decide to take a ride to Wading River to go to Lewin Farms. Then afterwards we decided to take a ride . Soon we had lunch in Greenport at "The Market " great place ! As we were getting into my truck I joked to Sue about going to Orient Point . Well when I punched into my... More

We discovered this on a drive while staying on North Fork. Serene beach two miles out on a spit on Gardeners Bay. Walked the nature trail, which was a bit disappointing. Next time will walk the beach in either direction from parking. Would make a great bicycling destination.

A great spot to have an off season lunch. Lots of picnic tables and grills available. Beach is rocker than most, so shoes while walking is a must. Bathrooms were spotless at this time of year, plus there was no entry fee! Surrounded by water everywhere you look. I nice playground for the kids and saw lots of people bike... More

While waiting for your ferry, go purchase a beverage or grab a sandwich and stroll along the beach or sit and enjoy the breeze.

Beautiful place to spend an afternoon when you're in the North Fork wine country. It's easiest to get there with a car by following directions to Orient Point Ferry and making a right turn onto State Parkway. The park is also accessible by bicycle or on foot for the more determined ones. The narrow strip of land leading to the... More

This state park mostly consists of a very nice beach on Peconic Bay. Being so open to the ocean it is one of the nicer Bay beaches around. Shaded picnic area, and a very nice playground. There is also kayak rentals, and a small shop for all the things you may have forgotten (e.g., sunblock, towels, drinks, ice). There is... More

My husband had read that after 4 PM you can enter and park here for free. It was a torturously hot day but after hours, around 4:45 PM, we came here with our beach chairs. Parking was easy and the area is lush and gorgeous - green saltwater marshes to the right and water to the right. There is a... More

We enjoyed a short drive and visit to the gift shop/ticketing. Scenery was enjoyable despite passing showers marring the serenity of this park. Great place to picnic and ponder the full expanse of the horizon and the bird life it presents.
