Convenient way to travel between CT shoreline and North Fork of Long Island. They have it down to a science and it works very well. We always enjoy the trip and the scenery on the way is relaxing.

No, the Port Jefferson Ferry is on the north side of Long Island, on the Long Island Sound. Fire Island is off of the south shore of Long Island. There are ferries that you can take to Fire Island. Google it.

I believe the Ferry had a handicap parking area! I would recommend to call them directly to confirm the spots. The local train going into New York City also has a parking area next to the Ferry so they might also have... More
