A feel-good grab bag of whatever's whatever: art shows, performance, ? Also local bricks. Yes, bricks.

This is a quiant way to enjoy a few minutes. The space is small, a quick walk down the hallway and back traverses the entire museum. While I was there it was an exhibit about bricks and masonry which was interesting but took two minutes to process. But the African American History was much more interesting. The staff was busy... No matter how many times I stop by, I always find interesting exhibits, lecture and now even the foreign movie night. It is an amazing place to discover and exchange art, culture and history. The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable. Worth it a stop for sure.

newly discovered this Poughkeepsie gem. A great place for the community to see art and be involved with art. If you are in town, you must go to visit if you live here, come often.

I went for their Poughkeepsie art gallery walking tour event, and this little place is a gem! They featured local artists as well as art from China and around the world. They had a nice assortment of snacks and a lovely and hospitable atmosphere. Overall, I definitely recommend!

Stopped in to see a contemporary art show in what is a large room. The show was ok, but I was more fascinated by a large soft sculpture of the landscape of Poughkeepsie, done by residents. It was so great that i forgot to photograph it. There is also a small "pop up" shop with very well priced gifts made... More

The Mid-Hudson Heritage Center is a gallery space that also hosts talks, meetings, workshops. The owner, Roy, is friendly and very knowledgeable of the City of Poughkeepsie. It is usually open in the afternoon work hours and for opening and closing receptions on the weekends. I would definitely encourage all to stop by and enjoy the art!

Welcoming atmosphere, talented artists and beginners exhibit in this place. We feel like home, people stop by this gallery and it's a nice place to discuss about Art. The people who work there are very open minded and have the desire to develop Art in Poughkeepsie.
