Fun & educational for kids. My 78 yr old dad even loved walking around looking at the animals. However, if there was nothing to look at here, the cheese alone is worth the trip.

We have been to Sprout Creek Farm many times with our granddaughter. It's an active and teaching farm with many farm animals for children to learn about which seems to be lacking today. She loves the goats, especially the new borns. She could describe at...More

What a great stop. We purchased every cheese they had the guy who helped us was the friendliest guy I think we've ever met. Visited the barn with all the animals. Can't say enough. Town is lucky to have them.

Very nice farm for the kids to visit. They have pigs, goats, cows, chickens and ducks. You are free to roam around and see the animals. There is a store where you can buy homemade cheese.

I can't say enough about this place! Amazing prize-winning cheeses and other culinary goodies, as well as gift shop items. Up-close-and-personal visiting with the animals (goats, cows, etc). If I had children I would definitely send them here for the camp program. (I think that...More

My students came back with new perspectives and lots of wonderful stories. The food is superb and the farmers helpful and informative. They milked cows and goats, cooked with chefs, hiked, biked, built a bee hive, made campfires, played games, watched cheese making and planned...More

The farm is very visitor friendly and gives a wonderful introduction to farm life to those who are unfamiliar with it. Our granddaughters enjoyed it very much. The animals, the gardens the orchard all were a practical and fun school for children and a trip...More

Yes. Unless you want to go to a town and stay a few days--Poughkeepsie, Beacon--which you can get to by train, you need a car to enjoy Any of the counties in the HUDSON Valley.
