Love going to wine tastings at vineyards and have done it in Sonoma before too. Found out that there are 130 wineries around the three big lakes in the beautiful Finger Lakes region and I've probably gone to 20 of them. Some veerrry good white varietals and some distilleries around too that are excellent. Also 20 minutes from the bottom... More

Doing a wine tour around the Finger Lakes in NY can be a great time! There are so many wineries and so many varieties of wine to try. Some even have beer for the non-wine lovers! Each winery has their own character. Bully Hill always gave the most animated/fun tours. Some had better shopping than others, but you can always... More

Spectacular views and top quality vineyards line my favorite Finger Lakes Wine Trails along Lakes Seneca, Cayuga and Keuka. Most of the top vineyards are open year round. We especially love to visit the area for an overnight get-away during the quiet off-season, late October-early May, when great deals are available at the best hotels and Inns.

We often go to the various wineries in the Finger Lakes and love the drive as well as the wine. The Keuka Lake wine trail is our favorite with Dr. Frank's, Ravine's, LeSoaur, and McGregor's as must stops! Both Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake have tasty wineries, too.

We visited 6 winerys and did not have to wait at any of them for a wine tasting. Day was windy but my brother in law was our designated driver and we enjoyed the trip and tastings

There are views that rival anything, anywhere. Great wines and wineries, quaint little towns and small cities. Rent a house on one of these beautiful lakes and know the meaning of contentment!

We have gone on several of these tours. There are about 7 or 8 a year with different themes (BBQ,, Tapas, wine&cheese lovers, etc,). Each winery has a different specific tasting and theme recipe. The tour circles the lake and you can make it a one or two day event and return or spend a night at local B&B's or... More
