Kids love this place. Brings back good memories for parents. If you're passing though Rochester, make time for this. Inexpensive, easy parking and not crowded. If this was on Long Island, it would be mobbed. Plan to stay minimum of 3-4 hours. I think one day is enough, but kids wanted to go back for a 2nd day.

I work at an elementary school and have visited The Strong National Museum of Play on field trips with large groups of 1st graders. They had a wonderful time, especially with the interactive displays. So much fun!

If you are visiting Rochester with children, you must visit the Museum of Play! So much fun for every age. Some of our favorite parts are Sesame Street, Wegmans, and Storybook Land. Great if you only have a few hours, or the whole day!!

This museum is definitely worth your time and money. We made the two hour drive and were not disappointed. Plenty of things to do for both kids and adults. My favorite was the arcade on the second floor. The kids loved almost everything.

There is a mini grocery store which the kids love. The butterfly wing is fantastic! Children can enjoy Sesame Street with all the interactive ways to learn numbers, words, diversity, etc. Most Rochester parents with young children have a membership.

Great place for kids of all ages, with a good mix of interactive activities, and historical displays. We are a pair of kids at heart and enjoyed exploring the museum, although it is definitely more suited to the 12 & under crowd. A must-see for anyone visiting Rochester

We took our 2-year daughter to the Strong Museum and she LOVED it. There is a wide variety of areas of kids of all ages. Even adults would have fun! There is a mini grocery store that was impressive and lots of kids were loving playing in it. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and were surprised how quiet it... More

Wonderful museum for the kids. Tons of hands on exhibits and areas of play. Prices are reasonable. Our family spent almost 8hrs there and the kids had a great time. Great day trip.

No matter what your age, this museum brings out the kid in you. Collections of toys displayed are massive. The butterfly house/room has a great variety of species and is a timed area with an extra fee. The hands on areas are just incredible. Kids can play store, have time on Sesame Street and experiment with all sorts of things... More
