This is a great venue for shows. There is a broad range of seating available. Only complaint is that I wish there were more women's bathroom stalls as at intermission there is a huge weight to get in. The volunteers that seat you and scan tickets are friendly. The variety of shows they offer the extensive. I have generally go... More

I've seen a number of shows at the Auditorium Theater. Yes, it's old (I prefer classic), and there's is a lot of history here. I've found the Loges to have excellent sound quality and a perfect view of the stage.

Attended a Steely Dan event here, and sat in the balcony. The place is immaculate, and very well maintained; impressive old structure. The stairs are not consistent, and we saw ~2 dozen folks stumble climbing the stairs. The seats are vintage (pre-morbidly obese America) and very cramped in both directions. Anyone leaving the row has to do a line dance... More

The Wurlitzer theater organ in the Auditorium theater is an outstanding example of the silent movie theater organs. The 4-manual 23-rank Wurlitzer organ was formerly housed in the RKO Palace in Rochester. Concerts are held September through June through the Rochester Theater Organ Society. The concerts present a wide variety of musical formats representing the best of theater organ performed... More

This is an old-style theater that has probably seen better days, but is still nice to have in a city this size anyway. It's got lots of beautiful old fresco-style wall art, the high balconies, and thickly=carpeted hallways. The kids love performing (dance recitals) in this place because of its age and grace. Caution, though - the food and drinks... More

My wife and I went to see Dirty Dancing last week and while the show was entertaining enough I couldn't get completely into it due to the extremely tight fit seating. With my back firmly against my seat, my knees were still pushing into the seat in front of me. I'm only 5'11" so I can imagine how bad the... More

We were able to secure last minute tickets to see Dirty Dancing during our trip to Rochester and this theater is a fine example of the majestic theaters of the past. I really don't see how there could be a bad seat since the theater is small but please note that the balcony level is not accessible with an elevator... More

I have been to a few shows at the Auditorium Theatre. From kids shows to plays to concerts, I have seen them here at the Theatre. It is a great place that is just the right size. It is a beautiful historic building that is another Rochester gem!

This was a nice, clean venue with great seating. We were very happy with our view of the stage. Comfortable seats. Clean bathrooms. Polite staff. We didn't have to find parking, but some lots were nearby for a fee.

I have been to the Rochester Auditorium several times and have always a joy. Beautifully designed inside. Sat orchestra in the fifth row, center of the stage, and couldn't see anything in that focused on center stage! Guy in front of me was 6' plus. 🙄 Waste of money. Will go back to the balcony.
