Whether you wish to go to the brewery, picnic or stroll about this is a local gem. Architecturally historic and profound, the Genesee River walk and good weather presents the visitor with lots of potential fun and activities.

Trail runs from Charlotte to downtown. Some parts are a boardwalk near and sometimes over the river offering great views.

The Genesee River Trail is a delightful way to see Rochester and nature. The intermingling of river, waterfalls, deer, turkey, and sky-scrapers is something I will never forget.

Definitely there are hotels along the trail if you are in the city of Rochester. In other areas I am not sure.
