Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As an avid home baker, I consider myself fortunate to have Niblack Foods nearby. They've got just about every ingredient I could need, from specialty flours to herbs, spices, yeast, you name it. Prices are reasonable and since they've moved into a bigger space, the shopping experience is much better too, with wider aisles that invite browsing. This is a must for any home chef or baker, whether you live around Rochester or are just visiting.

I would love to live in Rochester just to be close to this warehouse bakery supply store located in an industrial set of warehouses off Jefferson Rd. This store has samples of spices, coffee, tea, new items for sale. They sell all kinds of flour! All kinds of salsa and hot sauce locally made, Union coffee roasted in same complex of warehouses, exotic spices, flavorings for baking, malt powder, the list goes on & on. Very good place to stock up before the holidays. I bought a very fresh looking vanilla bean and wheat berries and so much more! Very nice staff if you have any questions. Prices are fair and for those hard to find items, go here. I saw cream of tartar which has been difficult to find lately near me. And Middle Eastern spices, Greek, and Indian. Excellent store.

This place has a lot of wonderful finds and I can usually get my hard to find items here for baking. The prices can be on the high side but quality is always generally good.

My husband visits this place every single time we are in the area. He travels from Albany often and a stop here is important for the chef in him. Anything he needs he can find there!!

If you love to bake and cook, this is a great store. They have all kinds of spices, flours, nuts, etc that you could want for cooking/baking that would otherwise be difficult to find in the Rochester area. Prices are kind of high depending on what you are looking for so it's still good to shop around.

We stummbled upon Niblack Foods almost by accident. It is tucked back in the middle of the Genesee Valley Regional Food Market on Jefferson Road, south side of Rochester.

It is a small store, packed with a terrific variety of unique spice blends, as well as standard spices such as Saigon Cinnamon. (And the prices were much better than Penzey's.)

We also saw a great selection of plant -based protein, beans, grains, flours, cereals, granolas, etc. We found Rickle's Pickle products, sweetners, sauces, and much more. It turned out to be a great place to stock up before winter. We plan to return on our next visit to Rochester.

This place has awesome baking supplies plus spices plus accessories. It's located in a series of warehouses behind Jefferson Rd., just keep driving around and look at the signs. Parking is on the side and boy oh boy did I love this supply store! If you cook or bake at all, come here for very reasonably priced items. I bought a Madagascar vanilla bean for $3 bucks! Two lbs. of cake flour for $2.25! Pastry flour 2 lbs/2.25;dill seed 1 oz/$2;honey bush looseleaf tea 1.5 oz/3.75. Just unbelievable store with fresh supplies of all kinds. I easily could spend an hour here. They had free local Union Place coffee to sample, corn seasoned by the worker in her own mix, delicious! They had local honey, local farmers market products like hot sauces and ketchups, baking supplies for caterers, poppyseed and prune fillings, the list goes on & on. Before Christmas, I will make the ride again just for supplies. Not a fancy place at all but totally great supplies for the serious cook and chef.
