I love history and nature. The Erie Canal puts both of these together. WE felt very safe on as a family, on our hour walk next to the canal. Bikers, joggers, dog walkers take advantage of this wonderful resource so you will have company. There...More

This is a really nice place to walk along in the Summer but especially during the fall as the leaves are changing colors.

A wonderful treasure for walking and biking in the region. Did you know you could ride a bike from Buffalo to Albany on it! Wow there is a trip to persue.

Bike, dog walk, roller skate or walk — this canal path is clean, well kept and safe. Go slowly or zip along, it is a flat scenic walk any age can enjoy.

I travel to Rochester frequently and my usual hotel is not far from the trail. I enjoy walking the trail in the evening to relax. They have done a nice job maintaining the canal and the trail. Highly recommend the walk along this historic canal!

The Canal still carries pleasure craft through the boating season. Remnants of the old locks are scattered across the Rochester area.

Nice walking/biking path along the canal with murals painted on the bridge walls that depict life on the Erie Canal. There are many different spots to park and walk along the canal.
