The Square House is a superb museum and a wonderful place to discover Rye, NY's history. The house used to be a Tavern, and the front room accurately depicts what a Colonial bar used to look like. (There are actual bars that can be lowered...More

Fantastic museum that both shows the building as it was during the colonial time period and has rotating exhibits connecting Rye's history to American history in general.

I visit this great local accredited museum periodically. It's free, and they are happy to provide a guided tour. A real community effort with lots of great colonial items. A very informative walk through history. Many good events throughout the year. Kid friendly. Nice gift...More
