We just did the hike to the lighthouse and found it lovely - they did an amazing job of clearing the path of snow! the views all the way were stunning. We loved that we could simply go and walk around the building looking all about at the scenery! Also it was dog friendly - we had so much fun... More

Great places to with the kids. There a nice picnic are that has some shade. You can on the creek side or swim on the river side when the tide is high. Yes the Hudson River has tides here so check the tide chart online. There port a potty available.

We enjoyed the short trail walk out to the lighthouse more! It's definitely nice to see, but save it for warm weather!

We used the lighthouse as a backdrop for our engagement pictures in 2011. It was the perfect backdrop and we still love to look back at them. The only tricky part is figuring out when the tides are right to get out there.

I had never seen this kind of lighthouse! It's made like a house with spectacular backyard . I think you can come in inside only by appointments, but the weather was so sunny that we just hiked around , it was a lots of kids there with there parents and dogs, so anyone can come and enjoy it.

We enjoyed our two visits here last summer. It was very peaceful and serene. The road to get to the lighthouse from the south was not easy to find at first as the signs are small. Glad we found it though!

Such a peaceful place to visit. Just breathtaking. I would love to stay here! We saw swans floating in the unfrozen parts of the river. Really beautiful.

A fun visit for family and friends. A great structure located on the edge of the Hudson that has rooms for rent. Fun to go early in the morning or at sunset 🌅 as long as you bring a flashlight for the tide does cover part of the path. Bring a picnic sandwich, walk around or just set up a... More

Quaint little place dotting the Hudson, historical in nature really - but it is a b&b with just two rooms, likely no wifi but you have to plan and book way out in advance - very romantic so bring your mistress, not your wife LOL. former functioning lighthouse to keep boats from the rocky shores - nowadays boat probably just...
