If you love exploring colonial history, you really must visit the Halsey Homestead. You will learn about a family that has lived in Southampton for hundreds of years.

Thomas and Phoebe Halsey were my 10x's great-grandparents. I live in Missouri, but I do hope to visit the Halsey House someday. :)

We marveled at how old this house is. It reaches back into the 1600s -- can't say that about many American attractions.

There are surprisingly not that many historic sites left here, despite Southampton being founded in 1640. So, do check out this one! Lovely, interesting.

Built in 1648, it's the oldest English wood framed house in New York State that is still on its original site.
