the powerful and somber wings will have you catch your breath along the Hudson River- an easy commute from manhattan on the Staten Island Ferry. A must visit to understand the impact of lives lost on that fateful day.

Heart wrenching experience especially when you know some of the people memorialized in the monument. Very nice memorial but a better job is needed when it comes to maintenance.

This is an appropriate memorial of the victims of 9-11, beautifully framing the spot of the former World Trade Center. Very quiet / peaceful / reflective area.

This a beautiful spot from which to view the New York harbor and the southern tip of Manhattan. The monument itself guides the eye toward the spot where the Towers stood before the terrorist attack.

The angle of the construction and the view just gives you perspective of the magnitude of the tragedy. I prefer the silence and peace of this memorial to send a respectful moment of meditation to remember the inocent people that were lost.

It is wonderful that Staten Island was one of the first memorials to be completed. The profiles of the Staten Islanders who perished on 9/11/01 was a great tribute to them.

It's really nice there, by the water. It's so peaceful. Still under construction, can't wait until completely finished.

During contruction, the best places to park are the Staten Island Ferry parking lot (Free on Sundays) or the courthouse parking garage located at 54 Central Avenue.
