One of the best little nature preserves in upstate New York. Joins Montezuma as one of our real favorites. Not as well-know, perhaps, but that's fine because here you can find the quietude of nature. Diverse ecosystem, from marshes, meadows, woodlands and the shore. Beautiful.

This nature center had a very diverse atmosphere. You could walk with a lake view, be in the woods or take a leisurely meadow stroll. The main attraction was the heron rookery. This is an awesome place. Unfortunately it was a bit foggy when I...More

Nice hiking paths, diverse wetlands and forests. Trail down to Lake Ontario was awesome. Preserved animals in the nature center and binoculars to borrow was nice.

True beauty, unbelievable landscape, breath taking views! The bluffs along the shore line, clear water with a sandy bottom. From the top view color shifts in the water, endless horizon, and wildlife. Nature trails through the woods, marsh, and open fields.

We throughly enjoyed our Saturday afternoon with Jim as our tour guide. We saw red-tailed hawks, a crazy red-winged black bird who should be down south, wood peckers and assorted small birds at the feeder, The rookery was empty - but we will be back...More

Everytime I go here I find something new. My last trip to the heron rookery was in a light rain but it didn't matter. Seeing the herons nesting and feeding the babies is a never to be forgotten experience. Any of Jim's nature walks are...More

No admission charge. There might be a place for donations inside gift center. Blue heron roosts are really cool now.
