There is nothing extraordinary about this decommissioned, little lighthouse but it somehow manages to conjure up romance just sitting there in the majestic Hudson River.

It's a small lighthouse at the end of a trail after you have walked thru the park. It was old and narrow and you kept climbing and the iron staircase was very narrow. There was a bell at the top and the historian encouraged everyone...More

We attempted to visit the Lighthouse but were unable to access it. Directions took us to an area that was questionable and we could only see it from a distance. Had a better view from the bridge traveling home.

Lighthouses have an appeal no matter what part of the world you are in. Had a local driver so no problem finding it. Worthwhile spending a little time enjoying the views. The views may not be the best in the world but as a tourist,...More

Make sure you check the schedule. Worthwhile to go inside and get the tour, which is given by volunteer docents.

Pathway currently closed to walk up to it, but it was nice to admire from afar! Beautiful park next door with a dog park as well!

Right now surrounding construction makes it a bit tough to reach from certain directions, but the lighthouse itself is cute and worth a photo op.

Absolutely - you could walk along the road over to the park and to the lighthouse. It was maybe a 5 minute drive from the train station to the park so walking wouldn't be a problem.
